Pat Mesiti has a passion to empower young people to make right decisions for life

As the former executive director of one of Australia’s most successful drug rehabilitation programs, Pat possesses a deep understanding of the issues facing young people and the rare ability to speak to them at their level.

In his warm, down-to-earth and witty manner, Pat addresses topics such as self esteem, values, drugs, sexuality, dreams and destiny.

“My experience has shown me that young people always make the right decisions when they value themselves”  Pat Mesiti.

Part of your MM Club subscription helps Pat to help young people - Pat is regularly asked to speak to young people at High Schools in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. The western world has a teenage suicide and drug & alcohol abuse epidemic. We at MM Club want to change this and with your help, we can.

Pat Mesiti visited Wesley College to speak to our Senior School students on the topic of "Choices".

From the moment Pat began he had the students totally engaged with his sense of humour and stories that directly related to the boys' experiences.

He was able to address issues such as sexuality, peer pressure and drug use in a way that was credible with the boys, as they felt that Pat knew the pressures they were exposed to. Pat's wealth of experience enabled him to draw on many powerful accounts from peoples' lives that left a lasting impact with the students.

The feedback from the boys was overwhelmingly positive. Pat's spirit and positive energy shone throughout the presentation!

Thanks so much for your talk to our students today. We have a number of students with difficult lives and your talk has touched many. Our year 10 students are presently making decisions about their future as they look to their year 11 course selections. The message about making right decisions is timely.

Our school tries hard to enable the students to develop into positive people who do have a sense of self worth. Your personal story has certainly reached a few of our risky students. I have been pleased to answer their requests, and to give them your email address. I know they enjoyed the humour with which you presented the message, but this only served to enhance and not mask the positive story of actions and choices.

It was refreshingly enjoyable and I give my schools thanks.
