Think about this for a second… which category are you in and which would you like to be in? now of course there are degrees of wealth, it is not a hard and fast line. Some of you would be well off, some wealthy and some are on struggle street.

No matter where you are, if you know where you want to be, knowing alone will not be enough to get you there. You need to take action. But what action will you take? For the vast majority of people, maybe even as high as high as 98%..despite their New Years resolutions, 2010 will be almost a carbon copy of 2009.

If you want a different outcome in 2010, you need to become prosperous, not predictable!

Can you imagine how inspired you would be if you ate the same meal at every meal, every day and had to wear the same clothes day in and day out? Even it was your favorite meal and your favorite outfit, it would not take long before the mundane and predictable routine would kill your passion.

Passion is where you get your juice from, its where you get your motivation and drive to get out there and make things happen.

It is a fact that people like a certain amount of stability, but we also like a certain amount of instability to give us variety! As they say “variety is the spice of life”

So here is the crux of the issue- if you want to gain prosperity, you have to embrace variety. You must commit to learning new things, you must adapt to change.

And here is a warning, the world is changing faster every year. If you don’t adapt to change in 2010, before long, you will become a dinosaur.

Get out there and make it happen in 2010, go and learn a new skill, if you haven’t yet, go and learn something about the internet, it is the greatest revolution in probably the last  three generations and it provides so much variety that if you embrace it in 2010, you definitely wont be predictable- you can therefore, only become Prosperous!

Seriously, there is more money on the planet than anytime in history. The world has the largest middle class,we are more connected than ever in history and we are abundant in almost every way.

Yet the lack mentality is so prevalent it is hard to believe!

I say of Australia ” Here, everyone is happy to see you rise to the middle”

Its funny and more importantly, its true! We are our own worst enemies when it comes to creating financial abundance because people will only let you go so far until you become a ‘tall poppy’ and have to get cut down to size.

Well, its time  to stand up and say enough is enough. Why should you live at less than your potential? Why can’t you live the life of your dreams? Come on, you know it is possible and you know you can do it, so it is time to step up and get on with it.

One thing that really gets me cranky is when some well meaning friend or relative tries to stop someone from thinking big. You see, as soon as your dreams die, your potential begins to die too.  And thats why I say if you want to succeed, you have to ignore the cynic’s and the critic’s.

Honestly, can anyone show me a cynic or a critic who has actually achieved something of any meaningful and lasting value?

Theodore Roosevelt knew a thing or two about success at the highest level and he penned perhaps the greatest comment to illustrate the difference between those who succeed and those who just point fingers and comment. Its called ‘ The Man in the Arena” and I want to share it with you.

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.

The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who actually strives to do the deeds;

Who knows the great enthusiams, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat’

Great words from a great man. We should all pay attention to this, I even encourage you to print out those words and carry them around with you…If you find yourself being the cycnic and the critic, will you ever taste the victory you desire?
